The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page and the users experience; it is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
Your Information
How Does Islamic Center of Lawrence Collect Information?
Our web server automatically recognizes and collects the domain name and IP address of visitors to our site. In addition, we collect information volunteered by the visitor to participate in activities on the site, such as making a donation, purchasing or redeeming a gift e-card, funding a project or event in someone's honor, registering to create an account, requesting email newsletters and/or contacting us through one or more of our contact email addresses. Islamic Center of Lawrence also collects personal information when you create an account. When you create an account we ask for information such as your name, email address, postal address, and phone number. If a visitor has enabled cookies in their browser, we also will send a cookie file that will only store a unique, random session ID that is maintained throughout the session to track the pages visited, allowing us to provide visitors to our site with certain conveniences, such as delivering unique content. We also use cookies to track the path of users through our site, and to keep track of where they came from (for example, if they arrive via a search engine). We also collect aggregate tracking information derived mainly from tallying page views throughout our site.
How Does SMIEC Protect Information?
Islamic Center of Lawrence makes reasonable efforts to protect personal information received from users of our Sites from unauthorized use or disclosure. All credit card information provided as requested on the Sites for donations is encrypted using the SSL protocol and we do not retain any end-user credit card information after the processing of the transaction is complete.
How Does SMIEC Use Information?
By creating an account or donating on this site, you agree to receive emails based on transactional activity, which may include confirmation emails, receipts, acknowledgement messages, and forwarded “thank-you” messages from the recipients.
Email addresses provided by users of the site will only be used to send email from or related to Islamic Center of Lawrence and its programs. SMIEC strictly enforces e-mail privacy, and e-mail addresses are not sold, leased or bartered to or with any third parties. Furthermore, each email communication distributed on behalf of SMIEC is strictly sent to an active opt-in list and offers and opportunity to opt-out.
Email addresses collected on-line may be used for various mailings from SMIEC and its affiliates, including the forwarding of thank you and/or confirmation letters or other correspondence and pictures in appreciation of your donation. Islamic Center of Lawrence may collect information about the use of the site, such as the types of services used and how many users we receive daily. Islamic Center of Lawrence may use this aggregate, non-identifying statistical data for statistical analysis, marketing or similar promotional purposes.

Information we collect and how we may use it
If you are a customer of Kindful, we collect certain information about you in order to provide you with our donor management system and/or online payment service (the “Service”). When you register for the Service we will request some personal information such as your name and email address, and information about your organization such as the name of your organization, Tax ID, mailing address, and tax designation. Furthermore, if you are opening a merchant account, Kindful may also obtain information about you from third party sources, including, without limitation, consumer reporting agencies. This information is used to contact you about the services on our Site for which you have expressed an interest. As part of the Service, we may also collect donor information on behalf of your organization. Except as may be expressly set forth herein, we will not use any donor information collected on your behalf for any purpose other than to provide the Service. Any tax or financial information we collect is used only to bill you for the Service. If you purchase the Service by credit card, this information will be transmitted to our credit card merchant account provider, and may be forwarded to your credit card provider. We do not store credit card information.
If you are a donor for a Kindful customer, we collect certain information from you in order to process your donation (“Donor Information”). Kindful will use Donor Information during the course of providing the Service to such Kindful customer. Kindful may also use Donor Information at an aggregate level for internal business analyses and fraud prevention. During the course of providing the Service to Kindful customers, Kindful may disclose Donor Information to banks, processors, card associations, and other financial institutions that are involved in the course of processing or screening the transaction applicable to the Donor Information.
We may use personal information for internal purposes to provide you with other products and services, or to contact you regarding administrative notices or communications relevant to you on this Site. In addition, we may use personal information to provide or improve products or services that you have requested.
Please note that personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about a group or category of users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed. This Privacy Policy in no way restricts or limits our collection, use, or our ability to sell such aggregate information.

Kindful takes your privacy very seriously. The information we collect is used to provide the Service, and, in general, is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes. However, there are times when it may be advantageous for Kindful to make certain personal information about you available to companies that Kindful has a strategic relationship with or that perform work for Kindful to provide products and services to you on our behalf. Therefore, we are not required to maintain or disclose a list of the third parties that received your personal information for marketing purposes during the preceding year.
